I always like to have a clear idea of what I want when I shop at MAC. Last month I took advantage of the duty free at Gatwick Airport with absolutely no idea what to get, so I picked up the eyeshadow I always kept going back to on previous visits to MAC stores, but had never actually bought.
Honey Lust, in the pan, is the most GORGEOUS colour. It's this super pigmented shimmery, honey-comb amber that just sparkles whatever way you look at it. You have to pack it on a fair bit to get the full effect, but get past that and it glimmers almost champagne pink. Think of it as a more intensely amber All That Glitters.
I find it perfect for just an everyday eyeshadow with a bit of highlight in the inner corners, and having been abroad recently I've been using Honey Lust with All That Glitters and Woodwinked for a glowing, sun-kissed summer look. I love that it can appear either very subtle or very glamorous.
As I've said, you do need to pack it on well for it to really shine on your eyes and as a result it does produce some fall-out at times. I've found this with another MAC eyeshadow of mine, Idol Eyes, which is also a Lustre. I don't think Lustre is my favourite type of shadow for this reason. I'm more of a Veluxe Pearl girl, but with the colour of Honey Lust I don't think I could go wrong!
This shadow will look amazing on any eye colour too!
You can purchase Honey Lust at any MAC freestanding store or counter for £12.50; the single pots are £10.00 at the duty free, but I don't believe pan refills for palettes are available at airport counters.
Do you have Honey Lust? What's your opinion on it?
