'I Forget Where We Were'; Ben Howard

This image is actually my own, I took a picture of the album cover and cropped it. I actually think it came out okay so...hooray for iPhones!

So last week Ben Howard dropped his latest album, 'I Forget Where We Were' and, needless to say, I love it! I've raved about Ben's music in a blog post before, a long time ago! You can read that here.

I'd say this album is more subdued than the last and there are some big and amazing instrumentals in there that will pull hard at your heartstrings. I love that it allows you to sit back and reflect on things as you listen...

I feared the album might be a bit too doom-and-gloom for me, but some of the songs, such as Time Is Dancing makes me feel a glimmer of hope and motivation. Ben's vocals, whether soft, frustrated or angry (End of the Affair!?), are always so filled with passion and I think that really brings this album to life. I just can't stop listening!

The whole record is completely amazing, but definitely check out In Dreams, Time Is Dancing, End of the Affair and Conrad - they are my favourites!

I hope you're having a happy Monday! Is anyone listening to Ben Howard as you read this? ;)
