Autumn is in full swing and it's safe to say it's one of my favourite times of year. I wasn't tagged to do this, but I've wanted to write a post about autumn for so long that I just couldn't resist doing it in the form of a tag!
What's your favourite thing about Autumn?The best thing about autumn is the trees when they're ablaze. I love the way the leaves float silently to the ground and it's all tranquil in the woods...maybe I should stop before the descriptions get a bit too poetic!
What's your favourite drink for this time of year?I love caramel lattes, they're so sweet! I'd like to say I've tried those spice lattes I hear so much about, but I haven't got round to trying those...yet.
What's your favourite scent and/or candle?Even if Christmas isn't until next season, I'm definitely into those spicy scents already - I feel like they get me in the mood for winter! Apart from that I love the Baylis and Harding hand washes for all year round!
What's you favourite lipstick for this time of year?
'Vintage Pink' by Rimmel - it's this gorgeous 'just-bitten' colour. It's not too moody and vampy, but it brings lively colour to your face when it's cold out.
What are your go to colours for your eyes?
I like to stick with the general colour scheme of autumn - coppers, golds and shimmery browns are my staple colours, but cranberry is also another autumnal colour I'd love to try. Another beautiful combination is the smoky eye - silvers, taupes and deep greys are all perfect for this time of year!
What's your favourite band/singer to listen to? I listen to pretty much the same music all year round, but in particular I'm loving Gabrielle Aplin. Her album 'English Rain' is aptly titled to this season and there's something about the dramatic and melancholy instrumentals that reflect the colder months in my mind.
What's your favourite outfit to wear?
Jumpers, jumpers, jumpers! And maroon chinos. I love my maroons in autumn! Also, scarves. My love for scarves is rekindling - Primark have some beautiful scarves in at the moment, and the maximum price is £6! What a bargain, you just cannot go wrong!
Where is your favourite place to be? If it's not snuggled up in bed with a thick blanket around my shoulders, it's out walking. There's nothing like being in that crisp and fresh autumnal air!
