Fragrance Review: 'Taylor' by Taylor Swift

by - 08:48

Cutting straight to the point here - I absolutely adore this perfume! It goes on tangy, with top notes of tangerine, lychee and magnolia petals. The fruity punch transitions throughout the length of wear - towards the end of the day you can smell this gorgeously mature base note of musk and woodiness that's almost slightly spicy.

I don't tend to wear this perfume on my neck, as obscure as that sounds. As much as I love it on my wrists, I find it to be a bit too strong for my head if I spray it and leave it there too close to my nose. Nevertheless, this fragrance is so long-lasting it's well worth every penny you spend on it. I've worn it for eight hours before and I've still been able to catch whiffs of it on my skin!

In terms of the packaging, I don't prefer it to Taylor's previous fragrances, Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck: Enchanted. I love that it's so bright and classic at the same time (with the crystal-like ball on top of the cap and artificial pearls embellishing it), but I've found the wiggly lines on the bottle have actually been scratched in the short couple of months that I've owned it. That kiiiinda gives me the impression that it's fairly 'cheap', particularly because I haven't exactly manhandled the bottle in any way.

Aside from that little bug-bear though, this perfume is wonderful! It may not be my favourite scent of Taylor's (Wonderstruck all the way!) but it definitely lasts the longest and it's perfect if you want a more mature smell.

And as always, the price is an all-important decider (for me anyway!) and no doubt you'll be glad to know you can find this perfume here at Boots for £22 to £25 depending on which size you are after!

'Taylor' is also available at FeelUnique along with some cute little extras!
