Review: The Sleek 'Storm' Palette

by - 03:20

This has been on my 'wanted list' for quite some time, so to be finally picking it up while I was in London last week was very exciting! As much as I love my nude eye shadows, I found I was getting bored of the natural colours and over the last two weeks I've been loving experimenting with much more ranges of colour.

This palette consists of three, matte, nude colours - one of them being a black - and the rest are shimmery finishes, ranging from sandy golds to cranberry pinks to a forest green and deep blues. I found I had so much more in terms of choice and experimentation all in one place, which was exactly what I was looking for! As you can see by the pictures, mine is already in a lot of use!

The colour pay-offs are really quite good in my opinion. The pigmentation of the shadows are lovely, but they do create a fair amount of fall-down so I'd recommend leaving the rest of your face makeup until after you've completed your eye makeup - or else you'll never get the pesky powder off!

In terms of prices...you'll get your money's worth for £8.99. If you're a bit of a frugal like myself you may be tempted to hang on and come back later, but I delayed buying this palette for almost a year and I missed out! I picked up mine in Boots having seen it in there for the first time, but you can find Sleek makeup in Superdrug as well!
