Makeup Revolution 'Iconic' Palettes
Ever wanted to get your hands on the Urban Decay Naked palettes but just haven't had the guts to fork out for them? Check. Ever had your eye out on the drugstore shelves for anything similar for HALF the price? Check.
Well, get your booties into Superdrug!
Makeup Revolution London is a brand I only started hearing about late last year. I had heard great things about their eyeshadows, but until I was out shopping the other day I had never even seen these beauties!
First off - how gorgeous are the shades in these palettes? They're all pretty neutral, yet you can go crazy with experimentation and they are still perfect for every day wear. I love that you can also create combinations that transition into gorgeous evening looks. As there are so many shades I haven't managed to try them all yet which means I can't give specific reviews on each, but I did notice some fall-out here and there, although it's nothing a dusting over with a powder brush or a tissue can't fix. They also blend really nicely too.

The palettes come with a nice amount of product in them, are lightweight and I like that the lid will stand freely by itself without flopping over backwards. If you're one for the sponge applicators, each palette comes with a double-ended one, although I don't tend to use these. Unfortunately you do miss out on a mirror (unlike the UD Naked palettes) but this isn't such a huge problem if you have a mirror in your house to work with!
Now, I don't normally just go out and splurge on three palettes at once, so here's the best part. These palettes retail at £4 each! BARGAIN.
My only disappointment is that whilst the palettes have names, the eyeshadows themselves don't, which means I often forget which shades I used for a certain look! I'm a sucker for eyeshadow names and I definitely miss them in these palettes.

That being said, they are of lovely quality and cost sooo much less than the Naked palettes.
I can't tell you how excited I was to finally find something similar to the Naked palettes I have been lusting over since forever. Obviously I don't actually own any of the UD palettes myself, but you can find a few blog posts and videos online in which these palettes are compared to the high end big daddies.
I hope you're having a great week guys!
