Music Review: 'Hearts Go Crazy', Parachute

by - 08:39

I get so excited when musicians I love announce new music. The new single is most anticipated! So when Parachute announced the single for their third studio album I could have levitated right off my bed!

'Hearts Go Crazy' is a little more mainstream than I would have hoped as it is more synthetic than anything the American soft rock band have released before, but I can definitely see why it has been made so.

The song is inspired by young love and the excitement and attraction that is drawn between a couple. The bouncy, catchy melody and lyrics like, 'They say I will treat you bad/ but I'mma be the best thing you've ever had/ I'm gasoline and you're the spark/ you set me off here in the dark/ in your kiss, your fingertips/ we get too close/ we'll be burning out of control' connotate the daring and 'crazy' side of a blossoming young relationship.

I did, at first thought, immediately question whether I actually liked this new sound. A lot of people have compared it to that of The Wanted, which I totally agree with, but the tune is growing on me more and more. For the rest of the album I'd love to hear more of the 'classic Parachute', but I think that with this new sound they're appropriately following the idea behind the single and it would still get me off my chair and onto the dancefloor if it was playing somewhere.

I'd love to give you more information on the album, but unfortunately nothing else has been announced as of yet. It's just a case of waiting and jumping around to 'Hearts Go Crazy' until we know more!

I recommend you listen to Parachute's older music as well if you are interested. In my last blog post I mentioned their second album as being one of my favourites and if you like soft rock music, this is definitely a band to watch out for. Be warned though, you may need tissues when listening to 'Forever and Always' and 'Philadelphia'!

'Hearts Go Crazy' is available on the American iTunes right now for download and you can listen to it here!
