Positivity Post: Blogging it out of my system.

by - 11:15

I'll be honest. Today was going to be a horrible one to start with. First of all it's Mundane Monday. Most people hate Mondays anyway, but I loathe them. Then a whole array of different things happened. I got miserable about photography coursework, slammed a couple of doors, forgot to bring my English things for my after-school lesson, realised I still have essays to write, said something embarrassing as a teacher came by and every time I left a building I was reminded it had in fact snowed heavily over the weekend so it was bitterly cold out.

*Sigh. Breathe*

Urgh. What an awful day! To top it all off I came home, gazed in the mirror and noticed my makeup (which I had spent time maticulously applying earlier this morning) had run quite wild underneath my left eye. I should just point out, I'm not sure the waterproof Maybelline 'The Falsies' mascara I was wearing IS ACTUALLY WATERPROOF. It was either that or my new eye pencil in Coffee by MAC. I recommend them both but at least I know what to expect now!
On the way home I was thinking things through and the first thing that came to mind was - Gemma...you really need to blog this out of your system.

This stupid day of stupidness has to end in some moral, right?

At the end of the day I just need to think, "well I need to save some space in my memory for all the good days to come, so why clog it up with bad ones?"

And I'm learning too. I'm learning not to talk to too loudly, not to leave all my work to last minute and not to wear thin clothes in the days that follow a huge flurry of snow.

The best thing to do in a situation like this is to do things that make you feel better. So, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to climb into my onesie and dressing gown, drink loads of apple juice and plan my next few blog posts. This makes me very happy indeed.

In Westfield Stratford City, London, on Friday. An example of a good day to remember!
